About the Role
We are seeking an experienced
Group Sales Manager to lead sales strategy and execution for the
Sweeper & Safety Group, which includes
Schwarze Industries, ODB (Old Dominion Brush), Nitehawk Sweepers, and Royal Truck & Equipment. These businesses serve municipal, contractor, and industrial markets with industry-leading street sweepers, debris collectors, and truck-mounted safety equipment.
The Group Sales Manager will oversee direct and dealer channel performance, CRM utilization, market forecasting, marketing campaigns, and coordination of trade shows. A critical responsibility is leading product management input through the pragmatic framework of Voice of the Customer (VOC) - ensuring customer insights shape the product roadmap and drive long-term growth.
This role reports directly to the
Group Vice President of Sweeper & Safety and will play a central role in unifying sales efforts across the four brands.
What You'll Do
- Sales Leadership & Strategy
- Develop and execute sales strategies across Schwarze, ODB, Nitehawk, and Royal aligned with revenue and profitability goals.
- Establish group-wide sales targets, KPIs, and reporting cadence.
- Monitor market and competitive trends, adapting strategy accordingly.
- Channel & Customer Management
- Oversee direct sales and dealer/distributor networks across Sweeper & Safety brands.
- Strengthen dealer programs (training, incentives, performance tracking).
- Serve as a senior partner to major accounts, supporting negotiations and long-term growth.
- CRM, Forecasting & Analytics
- Drive consistent CRM usage across all four brands for pipeline management and forecasting.
- Ensure data accuracy and pipeline visibility to support executive decision-making.
- Deliver timely forecasts for bookings, backlog, and market demand.
- Product Management & VOC
- Lead product management input using VOC to capture structured customer feedback across all Sweeper & Safety companies.
- Translate insights into product requirements, feature prioritization, and business cases.
- Partner with engineering and product teams to align product roadmaps with customer needs.
- Marketing & Trade Shows
- Collaborate with marketing on campaigns, promotions, and product launches for all group brands.
- Oversee planning, logistics, and execution of trade shows and industry events.
- Ensure lead capture and follow-up processes are effective across companies.
- Team Leadership & Coordination
- Manage and mentor a high-performing group sales team.
- Promote collaboration across sales, marketing, product, operations, and service functions.
- Share best practices and create consistency across Schwarze, ODB, Nitehawk, and Royal.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Industrial Management, or related field.
- 7-10+ years of B2B industrial/manufacturing sales experience, including 3-5 years managing direct and dealer channels.
- Proven success in sales strategy, forecasting, and achieving targets.
- Experience with CRM platforms (Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.).
- Familiarity with Pragmatic Institute framework and VOC methodologies.
- Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Financial acumen (pricing strategies, margin management, cost-to-serve).
- Willingness to travel 50%.

Success in the First 12 Months
Within the first year, the Group Sales Manager is expected to:
- CRM Adoption: Achieve 95% adoption of standardized CRM processes across all four brands, with full pipeline visibility and reporting accuracy.
- Dealer Network Performance: Launch and implement a dealer scorecard program, with measurable improvements in dealer engagement including quarterly reviews, training participation, and sales growth collaboration.
- Forecast Accuracy: Deliver quarterly sales forecasts with at least 90% accuracy on bookings, backlog, and revenue across the Sweeper & Safety portfolio.
- VOC Program: Establish a structured Voice of the Customer program (aligned to Pragmatic framework), producing actionable insights and influencing at least one major product roadmap decision.
- Team Development: Build a cohesive group sales team with clear KPIs, accountability, and professional development plans in place.
