Job Description MD, Global Head of Marketing and Communications, Marq Logistics
Position Summary Ares Management has ambitions to launch a consolidated global brand to represent its leading logistics operating capability. In March 2025, Ares acquired GCP International, cementing its position as a top three global owner and operator of logistics assets with over 600 million square feet of logistics properties around the world. To support this new brand, Ares is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Marketing and Communications to lead a unified global marketing and communications strategy for Marq Logistics. This leader will oversee the property marketing and communications function, setting the strategic marketing agenda and ensuring brand management to support occupancy targets for the platform. They will lead regional teams and initiatives across North America, the UK and Europe, Brazil, Vietnam, and Japan, ensuring alignment with Ares Real Estate's business goals for the operating platform. This role requires an entrepreneurial marketing leader with relevant experience in the logistics or supply chain sector, capable of driving brand awareness, tenant engagement, and strategic communications in a fast-paced, global environment. Key Responsibilities • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive global marketing and communications strategy aligned with Ares Real Estate's business goals for the operating platform. • Team Management: Lead and mentor regional marketing and communications teams, fostering collaboration and consistency across all markets. • Brand Stewardship: Ensure brand consistency across all channels and geographies, enhancing Marq Logistics global reputation and market positioning. • Integrated Campaigns: Oversee the creation and execution of integrated marketing campaigns, including digital, content, PR, and events. • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with regional logistics leadership and the Ares Management Corporate Communications & Marketing team. • Media & PR: Manage global media relations, crisis communications, and thought leadership initiatives for Marq Logistics and in collaboration with the Ares Management Corporate Communications & Marketing team. • Performance Metrics: Establish KPIs and reporting frameworks to measure the effectiveness of marketing and communications efforts. • Budget Oversight: Manage global marketing budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and ROI. Qualifications • 10+ years of progressive experience in marketing and communications, with prior leadership experience within the logistics or supply chain sector. • Proven track record of managing global teams and multi-regional marketing strategies. • Strong understanding of B2B marketing, digital channels, and brand development. • Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills. • Experience working within or alongside an alternative investment firm is a plus. • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus. • Multilingual capabilities are a plus Reporting Relationships Co-Head of Corporate Communications & Marketing Compensation The anticipated base salary range for this position is listed below. Total compensation may also include a discretionary performance-based bonus. Note, the range takes into account a broad spectrum of qualifications, including, but not limited to, years of relevant work experience, education, and other relevant qualifications specific to the role. $200,000 - $275,000 The firm also offers robust Benefits offerings.
