Position Summary
Reporting directly to the President & CEO, the Vice President (VP) of Marketing & Communications is responsible for the strategic leadership, vision, and execution of Lakeland Regional Health's (LRH) overall marketing, branding, and communications strategy. This role will ensure that LRH is positioned as a leading healthcare provider within the community and beyond, strengthening its reputation, market presence, and engagement with patients, employees, donors, and stakeholders.
The SVP of Marketing & Communications will oversee all marketing, branding, digital, and public relations initiatives, aligning them with LRH's mission, vision, and strategic objectives. The VP will lead a high-performing team, including the Associate Vice President (AVP) of Marketing & Communications, ensuring the effective development and implementation of innovative and data-driven marketing strategies.

Standard Work: Sr. VP Marketing & Communications
- Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing, communications, and branding strategy that enhances LRH's visibility, reputation, and market share.
- Serve as the senior advisor to the CEO and Executive Leadership Council on all marketing, media relations, and public affairs matters.
- Ensure brand consistency across all internal and external communications, advertising, and digital platforms.
- Marketing & Communications Strategy Execution
- Oversee the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns, including digital, social media, public relations, and traditional media.
- Leverage quantitative and qualitative research to shape marketing and branding initiatives, ensuring alignment with consumer needs, competitive positioning, and healthcare trends.
- Collaborate closely with the SENIOR Vice President of Development, and other senior leaders to align marketing and fundraising strategies with institutional goals.
- Act as the primary spokesperson for LRH, managing key media relationships, crisis communications, and public relations strategies.
- Direct the creation of media strategies to elevate LRH's leadership, services, and community impact.
- Guide messaging for key announcements, press releases, and external communications to ensure strategic alignment.
- Lead LRH's digital transformation efforts in marketing, ensuring an innovative and data-driven approach to digital engagement, website strategy, and social media presence.
- Oversee content development, ensuring compelling storytelling that engages key audiences, including patients, employees, donors, and community stakeholders.
- Develop and oversee communication strategies for key institutional initiatives, CEO messaging, and employee engagement efforts.
- Work closely with Human Resources to enhance internal communications and support a culture of transparency, trust, and engagement.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for the marketing and communications team, including the AVP of Marketing & Communications.
- Oversee budget management for marketing and communications initiatives, ensuring cost-effective and impactful strategies.
- Foster a high-performance culture focused on innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in marketing, communications, or public relations in healthcare or a related industry.
• Proven experience in strategic marketing, brand management, and media relations at an executive level.
