About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Global Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), The Senior Director of Global Marketing is responsible for building Driscoll's into a world-class, consumer-led branded company. This role defines the global brand strategy, strengthens brand equity, and establishes the marketing operating system that enables consistent, high-quality execution across all regions. This role will lead and influence regional marketing leaders in Driscoll's of the Americas (DOTA), Driscoll's Europe Middle East and Africa (DEMEA), Driscoll's of Asia (DOA) and Driscoll's Australia and New Zealand (DANZ), the Senior Director shapes how and where the brand wins, through a clear global brand positioning, a coherent global brand architecture, consistent application of distinctive brand assets and a robust marketing performance system, while building a Marketing Centre of Excellence (COE) that elevates capability, tools, and ways of working across the organization. Accountable for global marketing performance, ensuring regional execution aligns to global strategy, priorities, and standards, and taking action to address risks, gaps, or performance issues that impact overall results. This role owns enterprise direction and capability enabling regional/local marketing teams to execute the strategy. Responsibilities Please Note: This role can be located in Watsonville, CA (corporate HQ) or Hong Kong. ***This position is not authorized for remote work.*** Global Brand Strategy & Development • Develop and execute the Driscoll's global brand strategy: purpose, positioning, brand architecture, identity, experience principles, and long-term brand roadmap to achieve Driscoll's global objectives • Establish global brand frameworks and playbooks that provide clear guardrails while enabling smart local freedom • Steward brand equity growth, distinctiveness, and long-term brand value creation across all regions Marketing Centre of Excellence (Build the Operating System) • Build and lead a best-in-class Global Marketing COE that raises marketing capability across all regions • Own the enterprise marketing operating system: governance forums, decision rights, briefing standards, creative development process, campaign excellence routines, and effectiveness frameworks • Develop and manage the global agency and production ecosystem, including partner selection, performance management, and modern content and production models • Ensure that the COE provides standards, assets, training, and governance while regional teams execute. Global Communications & Content Excellence • Drive and own global communications strategy and creative principles across paid, owned, and earned channels • Own the global campaign platform idea and master creative assets • Drive modern content systems that enable modular asset design, faster production, reuse, and always-on brand presence • Champion creative excellence and continuous improvement in marketing craft Regional Partnership & Enablement • Partner with the senior Marketing leaders in DOTA, DEMEA, DOA and DANZ to co-create annual brand plan and marketing priorities • Ensure global strategy is translated into locally winning choices based on consumer truths, customer realities, and channel dynamics • Establish regional marketing forums (i.e. brand councils, creative councils, learning showcases) to scale best practices and continuously raise performance Innovation & Portfolio Growth (Brand-Led Growth) • Partner with Product and Innovation teams to embed brand leadership into innovation strategy, platforms, proposition standards, and launch excellence • Ensure innovation pipelines strengthen brand equity and drive sustainable growth rather than isolated product activity Measurement, Effectiveness & Governance • Define and govern global brand and marketing effectiveness frameworks, including brand equity, communications performance, creative quality, and regional scorecards • Build a learning agenda that continuously improves return on marketing investment, execution quality, and growth impact Leadership & Culture • Lead and develop global marketing talent, building a culture that is consumer-obsessed, creatively ambitious, commercially accountable, and radically collaborative • Serve as senior marketing advisor to the regional leadership teams and a trusted cross-functional partner across the enterprise Candidate Profile • The successful candidate will bring 15+ years of senior marketing and brand leadership experience with a proven record of building global brands and elevating marketing capability across multiple markets. • They possess deep expertise in brand strategy, communications, content, and marketing effectiveness, combined with strong commercial acumen and experience operating in complex, matrixed organizations. • This leader has demonstrated success in building and running a Marketing COE, managing global agency ecosystems, and driving transformation in marketing ways of working. • Exceptional strategic thinking, communication, and influencing skills are essential, as is a strong track record of managing and developing high-performing teams • Willingness to travel globally (approximately 40%) is required • FMCG or Fresh Produce experience a plus • English fluency essential, Spanish and/or Mandarin a plus Compensation & Benefits: The following information is provided in good faith as a general description of the salary range and benefits for the position posted. The actual compensation offered to the successful candidate is dependent upon experience, skills, education, work location, internal pay equity, and other objective job-related factors. Salary Range estimated for the Sr. Director of Global Marketing $190,000 to $260,000 USD.
