POSITION SUMMARY
Leads enterprise marketing strategy as a member of the Senior Leadership Team, positioning Marketing as a strategic growth partner to Sales, Product, and the broader organization. This role advances the evolution of Marketing into a modern, demand-generating function that contributes measurably to revenue growth, client acquisition, retention, and lifetime value. Operates Marketing as a collaborative enterprise partner through joint planning, co-creation, and clear service expectations with Sales and Product teams. Ensures marketing strategies and initiatives align with Everence's mission of helping individuals, organizations, and congregations integrate faith and finances while strengthening the organization's competitive position in a regulated, evolving marketplace.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Strategic Enterprise Leadership
- Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on market positioning, growth opportunities, and brand strategy.
- Position Marketing as a trusted, data-driven growth partner for Sales and Product teams.
- Contribute to setting enterprise vision, clarifying priorities, and making thoughtful trade-off decisions aligned with long-term strategy.
- Monitor external best practices and emerging trends to keep Everence competitive, innovative, and mission-aligned.
- Oversee communications and customer insights functions strategically to ensure they align with enterprise priorities.
- Growth & Demand Generation Transformation
- Drive the transformation of Marketing into a comprehensive demand-generation function.
- Develop modern marketing capabilities such as:
- Lead scoring and qualification frameworks
- Marketing automation and CRM enhancement
- Structured lead journeys and lifecycle marketing.
- Long-term lead nurturing strategies aligned with the extended sales cycle
- Shift marketing from campaign-driven efforts to lifecycle-based engagement that consistently guides prospects toward deeper relationships.
- Establish measurable contributions to revenue growth and demand generation.
- Sales & Product Partnership
- Work closely with Sales and Product teams on joint planning and co-developing go-to-market strategies.
- Clarify service expectations and operational schedules between Marketing and business lines.
- Support sales enablement with tools, insights, and targeted campaigns.
- Enhance alignment and build trust across departments to promote shared accountability for growth.
- Digital Strategy & Technology Advancement
- Collaborate with the Chief Technology Officer to improve the online experience, backend systems, and marketing technology infrastructure.
- Minimize inefficiencies and improve the client experience through improved digital integration.

- Serve as an ambassador of the Everence brand, ensuring clarity, consistency, and authenticity across all channels.

- Safeguard and strengthen Everence's reputation as a trusted partner in financial services and insurance.
- Boost brand visibility and media presence to increase awareness and engagement.
- Client & Community Engagement
- Support and actively engage with cross-functional client experience (CX) strategy teams.
- Collaborate closely with IT, digital experience, and product/service line leaders to ensure a unified, client-focused approach.
- Enhance voice-of-the-client initiatives and customer insights to guide strategic decisions.
- Encourage communication that fosters trust with clients, congregations, partners, regulators, and the wider Everence community.
- Leadership & Organizational Development
- Lead at a strategic level by setting direction and empowering directors and team members to carry out operational tasks.
- Demonstrate effective delegation, coaching, and staff development to create a proactive, demand-generating marketing team.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field required
- MBA or other advanced degree highly preferred.
Experience:
- 15-20 years of progressive marketing leadership experience with expanding enterprise scope and impact
- At least five years of executive leadership experience in financial services, insurance, wealth management, or a similar regulated industry preferred
